More Details about Quilt for Cancer Bee.

So glad you found me!! I have a sister-in-law who is 51 years old and has Stage IV metastatic sarcoma cancer. She is stable, but this experience has opened my eyes to how many people are suffering from this terrible disease, so I would like to start Quilts for Cancer.

If you are interested, I would love to hear about you, and a bit about the type of quilting you do. We have 5 members, but would like to have 12. The bee will run for 12 months, and each person will have her (or his) own month. The month's designee will pick out the colors and type of blocks (and keep in mind some of us are beginners!!) - and each member of the bee will make two blocks from her stash, each 12.5 inches, and send them to the leader that month, who will put them together and donate the quilt to a person with cancer or whatever cancer organization she chooses.

If this sounds like something you are interested in, please respond below, or on my blog,www.modernquiltguild.blogspot.com. I look forward to hearing from you!!
Regards,
Nancy

  1. I joined the flickr group, Nancy! Sorry I disappeared for a bit...I have three boys and it's been nuts around here for the last few weeks. I think your ideas for the bee are great - I'll try to get the word out so we can get more members. Let me know how else I can help!
